This is a piano that I’m actually pretty proud of.
The YUA became a favorite of mine when I first came across one a few years ago.
Since then I have had a handful come in through the shop via our partners in Japan.
This one however, came in on trade from a customer purchasing a Yamaha grand.
They had owned the piano for 20+ years and it was definitely ready for an overhaul.
I used this piano as an excuse to do a custom build and challenge my skills as a piano technician.
The custom features are the hand rubbed satin finish, brand new Yamaha YUS5 hammers, brand new Yamaha hammer butts, new bass strings and a slew of other features.
It is right on the cusp of being ready, but it needs a few more hours of attention before I can release it for sale.
